4/20 In The Park on Hippie Hill in San Francisco
Every year on 4/20, thousands of people gather on Hippie Hill in San Fran’s Golden Gate Park for a massive community smoke session. Though it’s not an officially sanctioned event, this longstanding and peaceful tradition carries on every year without much interference from local authorities. Things start to get crowded around 1 p.m., so get there early and find a good spot for when 4:20 rolls around.
Smoke Out Vancouver
The original organized 4/20 celebration, this massive event started out as a gathering of friends in a park to celebrate their love of weed and music. The Vancouver event now hosts nearly 30,000 guests at Sunset Beach, with tons of vendors and a famous free joint toss at 4:20 p.m. If you find yourself in the Pacific Northwest, this crowd is a sight to see, and this event is the perfect place to spend your Cannabis Christmas.
Austin Reggae Festival
Though it’s not officially a 4/20 event, we’re pretty sure you’ll feel right at home at the Austin Reggae Festival. Held April 15-17, the gathering is known for its great reggae and dancehall lineup but also does a great deal of good for the community by donating a portion of ticket proceeds to a local food bank. If you want to hear some amazing music and help out a great cause, get your wristband for the festival here (the 3-day pass is only $40 so you’ll still have money left for treats).
Weedmaps Coachella House
Details are scarce, but Weedmaps is throwing a wild house party during Coachella that should be a perfect place to celebrate 4/20 a little early. DJs, dab bars, celebrity guests, and plenty of surprises await from April 15-17 as the industry’s leaders look to wind down and partake in our culture’s biggest holiday. Your Coachella passes won’t get you in, but maybe you know a guy who knows a guy?

Advocacy groups like NORML Canada will also be in attendance to educate and inform, so head to 4/20 Toronto from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. on the big day to celebrate our wonderful High Holiday.
420 Rally 2016 in Denver
The largest gathering on the list, Denver’s 420 Rally, is going to be a banger for sure. With over 100,000 people expected to attend the free event on April 16th, it’s easily one of the best ways to celebrate cannabis culture and marijuana advocacy. Did we mention Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa are both playing the event? While you and your friends can certainly attend for free, tickets are available to purchase if you desire a better view of the concert, access to private bathrooms, premium food vendors, and exclusive deals at local Denver dispensaries.
