For the third year in a row, Pipemasters Collab blew the minds of devoted functional glass art aficionados. Fifty-two of the most prominent glass artists flocked to 7 Point Studios for this one-of-a-kind annual event that stretches over two weeks in the rainy Emerald City.
Distinguished glass artists from all over the world flock to Seattle’s Boro School each year during the last two weeks of October to create, network, and of course, get a little rowdy.
The creations that come out of this two-week glassblowing marathon are rare, highly sought-after functional pipes. More often than not, these pieces are created by artists who have never collaborated — making for incredible one-of-a-kind creations.

Pipemasters is one of the only glass events designed for the true connoisseur. VIP passes provide exclusive access and front row seats to view the artists at work — allowing attendees to become entrenched in the creative vision.
Pipemasters is a healthy mix of work and play, complete with VIP parties and boozy brunches. The laid-back format gives collectors or glass store owners a rare opportunity to meet the glass artists they most admire on a more personal level.
On the last day of the event, October 29th, the gallery opened to display each of the pieces made during the ten-day marathon. The functional art price tags ranged from $1,000 to $18,000. The 2014 Pipemasters Collab produced a piece that sold for $100,000, holding one of the highest records for glass pipe sales. This unique skull piece was a collaboration between notorious artists Scott Deppe of Mothership Glass and Mr. Gray.
Seattle’s state-of-the-art lampworking facilities, The Boro School, hosts the annual Pipemasters Collab. The accommodating venue regularly provides glassblowing classes and tutorials led by the most prominent names in the functional glass world.
