The Canadian health minister has proclaimed that a federal task force to study the issue of cannabis is in the process of being created. According to Health Minister Jane Philpott, the task force will examine and determine what would be the best regulatory framework for a system in which cannabis is legalized. She also discussed what are to be the main concerns and considerations of the task force in its research.
“Who will have license to produce marijuana? Where will it be sold? What kind of public education program will be put in place? What other ways can we make sure people are aware of the potential risks associated with the use of marijuana? What are the considerations in terms of impairment?” – Philpott discussed on the Canadian talk show Macleans on the Hill
